Inglourious Basterds
We absolutely cannot wait for this.
We absolutely cannot wait for this.
As you can probably see, we've added a few new laurels to the site. This is exciting news as it means more and more people are seeing our stuff out in the real world. We love you Internets, but the real world is more awesomer.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't suck.
We've been selected for another film festival. This time we're in the "What the Hell Did I Just Watch?!" Comedy Video Festival. They selected "Turtle Fight!' for the showings on February 8 and 9 at 8:30pm. Get your tickets here.
This rules too much for words. I mean, how do you flip a semi like that?
I don't know why, but the last 30 seconds of this cracks my shit up. It's completely stupid, yet oddly entertaining. I can't stop watching.
Update!- A better version of the trailer has finally hit. Click here for goodness.
"No Country For Old Men" is quite possibly the best movie I've seen all year. If you need any enticing at all, check out the trailer.
"The Phone Call" was selected for the Best of the Shorts showing at the Tacoma Film Festival. Matt and I went to see the Best of the Shorts showing last night at The Grand. Overall it went pretty well. We'll see what happens at the awards tomorrow night.
As an aside, Matt and I are both amped to do more stuff. We've got a ton of ideas that need to be written out, then we can start some filming.
Just a reminder to everyone (all two of you) that "The Phone Call" premeirs at the Second Annual Tacoma Film Festival tomorrow at 7:50pm. We're being shown at the School of the Arts. The current plan includes some after screening festivities at an as-of-yet undetermined location in Tacoma.
Tickets are just $8, so come on down, support us and see some great films!
Remember way back when we finished "The Phone Call"? When I said we were going to submit it to some film festivals? Well, guess who just got selected for "The Tacoma Film Festival"?
That's right! We did! Kick ass!
So, we need EVERYONE to come on down to the School of the Arts in Tacoma at 7:50 pm on Saturday. If you can't make that show, it looks like they'll be showing us again at 4:30 pm on Sunday.

Well. Um. Yeah.
Well this is just too cool to not post.
I can't wait to see what Christopher Nolan has in store for his second go 'round with Batman. If this is any indication, it's gonna be great.
Holy site improvements, Batman! In our efforts to embiggen the world of Cool Flix Productions we've added another new item: videos made for Matt's side project, Christmas With Beer.
Where is this fine new feature you ask? Well, it's sporting some Christmas finery on the main page. You can't miss it.
It took over four months to make and had a budget of literally tens of dollars and we couldn't be happier. We had the biggest cast and crew ever, there was actually a script and if we hadn't shot it we wouldn't have made films 4-6. That's right "Couch", "Let's' Get Drunk..." and "Run Mike Run" were all made spontaneously on the spot while we were shooting "The Phone Call". This is also the first film we are happy enough with to enter into film festivals. Who knows, they'll probably just think we're dumb but it's worth a shot.
Good morning kids! We're putting the finishing touches on a brand spanking new film that we hope to enter in to the Tacoma Film Festival. We think it's our best effort to date.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Well, well, well. What have we here? A new look for the old home page. We've been busy at Cool Flix HQ. Mike's been working on the layout for this here fine piece of work. Matt's been hard at work editing and mixing sound for a super secret new film that should be appearing soon.
We've got tons of ideas for new films rattling around in our tiny little brains and can't wait for you to see 'em.
Stay tuned!
